I have been feeling so grateful lately. I am always extra grateful when I feel this way without having to eat humble pie.
Moving our family to this new home has brought so many changes beyond just relocating our "stuff." Andris has lifted from my shoulders the burden of bookkeeping for our household and our businesses. The time of categorizing and taxes and bills everything that came along with it has not just made the load lighter, but I feel lifted beyond it. It was getting to a point where I was dreading hearing Andris' ringtone, knowing that most of the time he was calling was because I needed to put out some fire...and now I am able to get used to hearing his voice and looking forward to our conversations. He is my husband, my boyfriend, my confident, my best friend, and my hero.
He came home from Utah for a couple days and just left to work on the East Coast until the 1st. He unloaded the truck into the garage that I had organized six times since moving here in November. I had FINALLY got it so I was able to park my car in the garage. At first I felt daunted by having to reorganize a seventh time, but that thought didn't stay long. The couple of hours it took me to move things around and manage it again is nothing compared to the time he spends away from our family so that I even have the time to do that.
I get to wake up to sleepy baby's breath, give baths, kiss boo-boos, read stories, teach math, take bike rides to the ice cream store, and go to bed every night in a beautiful, safe home where the worries of yesterday no longer linger.
Laundry needs to be done. School work needs to be checked. Dinner needs to be cooked. Dog needs to be bathed. These needs are blessings I am learning to appreciate more every day.
